Setup & Authentication

CFactory can use CFactory Gateway (recommended) or bring your own key (BYOK).

CFactory Gateway

  1. Open CFactory in the editor (or run cfactory in a terminal).
  2. Sign in when prompted, or follow the account flow from factory.cfly.ai.
  3. Pick a model and start a task.

Gateway gives you a single auth path for models, usage, and org policies when your organization enables them.

Bring your own key

Configure provider API keys locally. See BYOK.

Organization accounts

If your team uses CFactory admin / org sync, sign in with the org account so skills, rules, and model allowlists apply automatically. Details for contributors: Organization Sync.
